Reduced esophageal cancer incidence in statin users, particularly with cyclo-oxygenase inhibition

摘要: AIM: To examine the association between statin use and development of esophageal cancer METHODS: We performed a systematic review meta-analysis. Multiple databases (Pubmed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Web Science, Wiley Interscience Google Scholar) were systematically searched for studies reporting cancer. Literature searching data abstraction independently by two separate researchers. The quality reviewed was evaluated using Newcastle-Ottawa Quality assessment scale.
