Photoneutron cross sections for oxygen from 24–133 MeV

摘要: Abstract The inclusive partial photoneutron cross section σ(γ, ln…) and 2n…) the total σ (1) ( E γ ) = ∑ i 1 , n…) for 16 O have been measured with mono-energetic photons in energy region above giant resonance below meson thresholds. Comparison other data shows dominance of (γ, pn) process this thus underscores importance mechanism photon absorption by a correlated proton-neutron pair nucleus; thus, satisfactory agreement modern versions quasideuteron theory has obtained. integrated up to 140 MeV is 0.67 ± 0.07 TRK sum-rule units.
