摘要: Abstract Pregnant women are subject to an abnormal level of body size overestimation. Recent research has shown that such perceptual distortions enhanced in who sensitive their bodies (women eating-disordered or normal have attitudes food and weight) by exposure ‘real life’ pictures fashion magazines. This small-scale pilot study examines whether the media's portrayal ideal woman's shape (as slim) affects pregnant women's image distortion. The results suggest affected these media images, hut pattern distortion changes throughout pregnancy. Potential further clinical implications findings discussed.
