摘要: ABSTRA C T We examine the envelope properties of asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars as they evolve on upper AGB and during early post-AGB phase. Because high mass-loss rate, mass decreases by more than an order magnitude. This makes density profile below photosphere much shallower, entropy steeper. discuss possible role these changes in profiles onset rate (superwind) large deviation from spherical loss at termination AGB. concentrate idea that shallower steeper allow formation cool magnetic spots, above which dust forms easily.
