摘要: Abstract This is a keynote paper focusing on regional perspectives agriculture and biodiversity by exploring the situation in Northern Africa, West African Sahel, East Africa Horn, Southern Africa. The establishes that all these regions accelerates loss of because attempts farmers to increase crop animal production feed increasing population contribute growth national economies. Agriculture can be complementary activities. If properly managed, should enhance not enemy drylands There need assess potential semi-arid environments develop specific policies or programmes sustainable utilization conservation biodiversity.
