摘要: This paper describes the excavations of an area North Hampshire chalk land designated for housing development at Cowdery's Down, Basingstoke, (SU657532). The site produced evidence activity from Bronze Age to Civil War which is dealt with sequentially. bulk report deals extensive early medieval settlement well preserved and detailed timber architecture sixth seventh centuries A.D., includes a study material recovered site. excavation records finds are deposited County Museum Service under accession number A. 1978. 1.
