摘要: The Protein Information Resource (PIR) produces the largest, most comprehensive, annotated protein sequence database in public domain, PIR- International Sequence Database, collabo- ration with Munich Center for Sequences (MIPS) and Japan Database (JIPID). expanded PIR WWW site allows similarity text searching of auxiliary databases. Several new web-based search engines combine searches annotation to facilitate analysis functional identification proteins. New capabilities databases include annotation-sorted search, domain combined global interactive searches. PIR-International tools are accessible on at http://pir.georgetown.edu MIPS http://www.mips.biochem.mpg.de . PIR-Inter- national other files also available by FTP.
