摘要: In the present study, ability of ultrasonic lamb wave testing for defect detection and sizing in a thin aluminium plate (2mm thickness) was investigated. The numerical methods were applied drawing dispersion displacement curves waves order to adopt mode selection. Two techniques, pulse-echo (a1 as emitter) emission (s1 emitter), interpretation notch defects with depths 10, 30 60% thickness. It observed that these techniques are sensitive enough evaluate defects, especially short probe distances. Defect location length proposed be determined manner similar common methods. Also, Distance-Amplitude-Correction (DAC) curve which showed amplitude analysis can give some qualitative information about depth but results not always repeatable. method better sensitivity sizing.
