摘要: This study was conducted in order to determine the prevalence of bovine babesiosis Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas province. Initially standardized technique conventional PCR B. bovis, with a DNA concentration 20 [ng/uL]. The sequence used design Bv60 surface protein mRNA merozoide 60 [kDa] primers were BoF / BoR. We tested effectiveness 10 random samples blood from cattle slaughterhouse Quito, being center reach as many culling all provinces and hemoparasite presence determined sample analyzed by molecular biology Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Following optimization bovis sampled 350 17 farms province disease province, for both smear gold standard test, total no positive techniques may prevail this area other species Babesia that cause babesiosis. optimized, can detect differentiate animals infected very low parasitemias, sensitivity 1.25 [ng uL], which is recommended be implemented differential qualitative diagnosis
