摘要: Abstract The literature on spontaneous internal carotid artery thrombosis is reviewed and seven additional cases are reported. clinical characteristics of the disorder discussed, with special reference to those features which particular importance respect recognition. Cerebral circulatory studies made in these patients did not reveal hemodynamic or metabolic changes that could be convincingly attributed unilateral alone. However, others 30 have shown interruption flow blood through one accompanied by an increase CVR. Our results indicate neurologic sequelae occur only when this increment CVR superimposed upon a pre-existing sufficient magnitude reduce CBF level insufficient maintain structural integrity entire brain. They emphasize fact it state prior occlusion determines whether complications will occur. It suggested cerebral should done, whenever feasible, before therapeutic ligation, for they provide important otherwise unobtainable information regarding safety procedure. In attempt was revascularize brain creating artificial common artery-internal jugular vein fistula side thrombosed artery. Postoperative angiograms arterial-internal venous oxygen difference showed procedure ineffective.
