Warfarin response and vitamin K epoxide reductase complex 1 in African Americans and Caucasians.

摘要: The objective of this study was to determine whether two vitamin K epoxide reductase complex 1 (VKORC1) polymorphisms contribute the variability in warfarin response, particularly African Americans. effect VKORC1 1173C/T and -1639G/A examined a prospective cohort 338 users. Subjects carrying an 1173T allele had lower maintenance dose compared with subjects CC genotype Americans (-12.10 mg/week+/-4.93; P=0.02) Caucasians (-14.41 mg/week+/-3.28; P 3 (odds ratio=3.10; 95% confidence interval: 1.73-5.55) genotype. Polymorphisms gene are associated requirements among both Caucasians. However, these may not be as useful predicting over-anticoagulation
