摘要: This study uses latent class methods and multiple regression to shed light on hypothesized hallucinogen dependence syndromes experienced by young people who have recently initiated use. It explores possible variation in risk. The sample, identified within public-use data files of the 1999 National Household Survey Drug Abuse (NHSDA), consists 1186 recent-onset users, defined as having use 24 months assessment (median elapsed time since onset -12 13 months). users this sample were age 12 21 at between ages 10 their first NHSDA included items assess seven clinical features often associated with dependence, which used modelling. Latent analysis, conjunction prior theory, supports a three-class solution, 2% that resembles syndrome, whereas 88% expressed few or no dependence. remaining 10% may reflect are risk for an early stage Results from regressions indicate susceptibility rapid transition syndrome might be influenced hallucinogenic compounds taken (for example, estimated relative risk, RR = 2.4, 95% CI 1.6, 7.6 MDMA versus LSD). Excess did not appear depend upon age, sex, race/ethnicity.
