摘要: Besides strengths requirement for safety, fire resistance is also an important factor safety of timber structure. During the exposure to fire, a charred layer forms on external part element that protects underlying layers against action fire. Charring rate value required in design structures. Currently charring glued laminated (glulam) made from Malaysian tropical not available. standard, MS 544 Part 9 only provides solid timbers. Therefore series glulam were and have been exposed accordance with BS EN 1363-1:2012 order determine values. The results indicate smaller than timber.
