摘要: The direct conversion of methane to hythane, an alternative fuel for internal combustion engines, is effected by subjecting a controlled oxidation with water vapor at temperature about 400° 500° C. and pressure 1 5 atmospheres, in the presence catalyst comprising palladium or binary alloy thereof another metal selected from group consisting elements belonging Group IB, IIA, VIII lanthanide series Periodic Table, being supported on porous carrier. hythane under conditions low accordance present invention enables be produced not only economically efficiently, but also near vehicle fueling sites, thereby eliminating storage transportation dangerously reactive hydrogen mixing natural gas.
