摘要: Public cloud providers offer a wide range of instance types, with different processing and interconnection speeds, as well varying prices. Furthermore, the tasks many parallel applications show computational demands due to load imbalance. These differences can be exploited for improving cost efficiency in environments by matching application requirements types. In this paper, we introduce concept heterogeneous systems consisting types leverage large improved efficiency. We present mechanism that automatically suggests suitable combination instances based on characterization With such cloud, are able improve significantly variety MPI-based applications, while maintaining similar performance.
