摘要: A wave-driven sea-water pump which operates by resonance is described. Oscillations in the resonant and exhaust ducts perform similar to two mass-spring systems coupled a third spring acting for compression chamber. Performance of optimized means variable volume air chamber (patents pending) tunes system incoming wave frequency. Wave tank experiments with an instrumented, 1:20-scale model are was studied under various tuning conditions compared numerical found describe accurately. Successful sea trials at energetic coastline provide evidence system`s viability demanding conditions.
