The total synthesis of (± )-trichostatin A : Some observations on the acylation and alkylation of silyl enol ethers, silyl dienol ethers and a silyl trienol ether

摘要: Abstract Two successful synthetic routes to trichostatin A (1) are described; one (Scheme 2) uses the γ-alkylation of a silyl dienol ether, other 4) silyl-protected cyanohydrin anion. The two bear an upolung relation each other. Lewis acid-catalysed acylation enol ethers is simple and effective way prepare β-diketones β-keto esters 1); this reaction however gave only ⇌-acylation trienol ether (11) 3), had be prepared by round-about route 3).
