摘要: The layout of a semiconductor manufacturing facility can play significant role in reducing operating costs and improving productivity. This paper introduces the double-bay problem that is encountered fabrication. new not only considers assignment relative ordering machines two bays but also determines exact location each machine, incorporates objectives minimizing material handling cost area. A hybrid methodology combining multi-objective genetic algorithm with linear programming proposed to solve this problem. effectively identifies set non-dominated machine sequences, while program uses assignments obtained by determine optimal absolute locations. Experimental results indicate finds Pareto-optimal solutions for small-scale problems high-quality practical size.
