摘要: Autophagy is a bulk degradation system, widely conserved in eukaryotes. Upon starvation, autophagosomes enclose portion of the cytoplasm and ultimately fuse with vacuole. The contents are degraded vacuole, recycled to maintain intracellular amino-acid pool required for protein synthesis survival under starvation conditions. Previously, autophagy was thought be an essentially nonselective pathway, but recent evidence suggests that carry selected cargoes. These studies have identified two categories selective – one highly dependent on autophagy-related 11 (Atg11); another, less selective, is, independent Atg11. former, category comprises Cvt mitophagy, pexophagy piecemeal microautophagy nucleus; acetaldehyde dehydrogenase 6 ribophagy belong latter, category. In this review, I focus mechanisms physiological roles these types autophagy.
