摘要: The os peroneum (OP) is a small sesamoid bone located inside the peroneus longus tendon (PLT), close to cuboid. OP can be cause of pain and associated with lesions PLT. involvement in PLT disorders frequently misdiagnosed by radiologists. Painful syndrome (POPS) refers variety conditions presenting localized on lateral aspect cuboid area. observed as consequence local acute trauma such ankle sprains or chronic overuse. Because its intra-tendinous location, tears tendon, show changes morphology position, depending location tendon’s tear. Based level tears, we propose classification three subtypes: proximal (type I), at II) distal it III). These present different location. aim this article review normal anatomy, imaging appearance differential diagnosis well post-treatment imaging. Teaching points • classified subtypes according location. POPS characterized cuboid.
