摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses current concepts regarding the role of vascular endothelium in acute inflammation. Particular attention is devoted to contribution endothelial cells modulation (1) fluid and protein movement across microvasculature (2) leukocyte adherence emigration normal inflamed vessels. These processes are addressed an integrated fashion for three well-characterized models gastrointestinal inflammation, that is, ischemia/ reperfusion-, ethanol-, NSAID-induced There a growing body evidence implicates inflammatory reaction as integral component pathogenesis mucosal injury at least experimental gastroenteropathy, ischemia-reperfusion, ethanol, NSAID. In ischemia-reperfusion model, plays important by increasing microvascular porosity via active alterations its cytoskeleton participating neutrophil expression adhesive glycoproteins on cell surface. Although available support pivotal neutrophil–endothelial interactions ethanol- injury, less information permeability.
