摘要: This chapter identifies and develops the transport processes pertinent to budget of sediment for a littoral cell. It is intended provide conceptual basis discussions which follow in Chapters 6 (Sources, Transport Modes, Sinks Sediment), 7 (Application Shoreline Change Models) 9 (Budget Sediment Prediction Future State Coast). The primary interest here are action waves coastal currents eroding terracing land transporting along coast; tractive forces streams eroding, depositing sediments; effect changing sealevel on beach erosion; finally influence tides maintenance filling lagoons. For more detailed discussion these their cumulative effects interaction within cells San Diego Region, refer CCSTWS 86-1 (Inman, et al., 1986).
