摘要: Background: Ipomoea carnea subsp. fistulosa is a plant native to South America, but sparsely distributed in India and Bangladesh. Aphrodisiac, purgative, cathartic sore curing properties have been attributed the plant. Although there were several papers on antifungal antibacterial activities of crude extractives plant, first report bioassay monitored isolation characterization chief compounds as mixture E Z isomers octadecyl p-coumarates was published from this Institute. Material Methods: The methanol extractive exhibited activity against mycelial growth Phytophthora nictotiana by poisoned food technique. This addition reported Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Results Discussion: Octadecyl isolated column chromatography followed HPLC Cercospora capsici. spore germination Alternaria alternata, porri Cladosporium cucumerinum. Conclusion: Additional studies conducted with car nea confirmed its Phytoph thora nicotianae. Identification active principles capsici modified inhibition study.
