摘要: Abstract Data on the uptake of elements and radionuclides by flora from soils in arid environments are underrepresented international databases, especially when comparing across seasons. This study improved understanding natural uranium-series radionuclides, as well more than 30 elements, a range Australian native species that internationally representative an arid/semi-arid zone (e.g. Acacia, Astrebla, Atriplex, Dodonea). Results indicate soil-to-plant ratios were generally higher compared with data for grasses shrubs temperate environments. The majority elemental concentrations winter summer opposite trend was found shrubs, which suggests season collection potentially introduces variability reported concentration ratios. also suggest grasses, being dominant widespread zones, may be effective reference organism to ensure comparative assessment sites interest. results this will improve confidence environmental assessments zones.
