摘要: Attempts to generalize the Internet's point-to-point communication abstraction provide services like multicast, anycast, and mobility have faced challenging technical problems deployment barriers. To ease of such services, this paper proposes an overlay-based Internet Indirection Infrastructure ( I3) that offers a rendezvous-based abstraction. Instead explicitly sending packet destination, each is associated with identifier; identifier then used by receiver obtain delivery packet. This level indirection decouples act from receiving, allows I3 efficiently support wide variety fundamental services. demonstrate feasibility approach, we designed built prototype based on Chord lookup protocol.
