摘要: The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy arthroscopic lysis and lavage on pain in patients with unilateral Wilkes stage III derangement temporomandibular joint. Authors retrospectively evaluated whether has an impact decrease moderate osteoarthritis. Patients joint were included study. All underwent (ASC-L), assessed before after procedure (primary outcome variable), maximal interincisal opening (MIO) recorded as secondary variable. also subjectively they satisfied arthroscopy or their condition required further interventions. disc position by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) 24 months compared MRI prior arthroscopy. R Project for Statistical Computing 3.4.1 Gretl Pro programs used statistical analysis. In addition descriptive statistics methods, Shapiro-Wilk normality test verify data two sample t hypotheses themselves. consisted 62 who (ASC-L) 2015 2016. It 6 men 56 women average age 34.37. Pain MIO during regular check-ups 1, 3, 6, 12, months. A therapeutic effect (MIO over 34 mm, VAS score 0–1) 69% cases ASC-L. Nonetheless, work demonstrated importance subjective assessment, 87% perceived satisfactory not requiring intervention, while 8 (13%) it unsatisfactory. Disc reposition following ASC-L only 44% satisfactory. persistent dislocation older, had a lower value longer duration mandibular movement restriction (evaluated statistically significant difference). study, authors confirmed that is effective method WIII, from both clinical perspectives. This improvement related reposition. Postoperative physiotherapy integral component reflected final results.
