摘要: Abstract This study identifies and quantifies the effects of different explanatory variables that increase severity drivers' injuries related to single-vehicle collisions involving light-duty vehicles. The research is based on utilizing logistic regression analyze records all traffic occurred in North Carolina for years from 2007 2013. also investigates temporal stability identified throughout analysis period. include those roadway, vehicle, driver, environmental conditions. roadway whether divided or undivided, it an urban rural area. vehicle vehicle's age, travel speed, type vehicle. driver driver's gender, influence by alcohol illicit drugs, use seatbelt. conditions weather, lighting, road surface Three investigated were found be temporally unstable with significantly varying injuries. Those age driver. All other consistently significant findings this have potential help decision makers develop policies countermeasures reduce focusing exhibit provide quantitative measures may used determine feasibility implementing reducing collisions. Recommendations future are provided.
