摘要: Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) is noted for its ability to produce primarily singly charged ions. This an attribute when using direct ionization complex mixtures such as protein digests or synthetic polymers. However, the multiply ions, with electrospray (ESI), has advantages extending range on spectrometers limited mass-to-charge (m/z) and enhancing fragmentation structural characterization. We designed fabricated a novel field free transmission geometry atmopsheric pressure (AP) MALDI source mounted high-mass resolution Orbitrap Exactive spectrometer. report at will either ions highly process by simply changing matrix preparation conditions. Mass spectra very similar those obtained ESI of proteins cytochrome c ubiquitin are obtai...
