摘要: Abstract Eighteen optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) ages of fluvial aggradation terrace deposits and loess coverbeds are presented from four river catchments in the eastern North Island New Zealand. Six samples date T1 deposits; two (19.6 ± 2.0 23.9 ±1.8 ka) silt beds within gravels; (16.3 1.5, 17.0 20.9 23.7 1.7 or sand units resting on gravels. These support correlation with Ohakea Terrace Rangitikei catchment. Four older for 67.6 6.8,70.0 6.3, 75.3 5.5, 115.2 11.2 ka. We tentatively reassign first three to T3, which is correlated Porewa Loess coverbed 18.0 1.8, 18.5 1.4, 23.1 1.8 ka L1 imply it Ohakean loess, 39.7 2.5 L2 Ratan loess.
