摘要: This chapter summarizes the present status and a potential application of porous ceramics as materials for membrane separation. Porous ceramic membranes have great opening new types applications to which polymeric cannot be applied. Membrane separation processes can categorized based on phases feed permeate, well driving force The mechanism is mainly controlled by sieving effects, where solutes that are smaller than pore sizes permeate through membranes. must pores connected continuously from stream stream, otherwise no permeation possible. performance liquid-phase evaluated two parameters: permeability (L p ) rejection (R). Inorganic microfiltration ultrafiltration been used in wide variety processing. preparation membranes, need uniform sizes, thin possible without defects, seems represent different strategy conventional bulk bodies. research field processing will contribute much development science technology.
