摘要: Abstract This study aimed to assess the sustainability in water use at basin scale through footprint (WF). The methodology proposed by Water Footprint Network was integrated with a hydrological and quality model in-stream monitoring data WF Canale D’Aiedda Basin (SE Italy). Soil Assessment Tool used estimate runoff, evapotranspiration nutrients runoff. A bootstrap technique, coupled Monte Carlo simulations, applied evaluate uncertainty related variability input unknown natural background level of surface waters. 124.4 Mm3, which 78.3%, 17.4% 4.3% constituted WFgreen, WFblue WFgrey, respectively. crops highest mean crop were vineyards (752.6 mm), followed olive groves (583.1 mm) durum wheat (489.1 mm). For water, total unsustainable because actual runoff (Ract) not sufficient satisfy irrigation requirements. WFgrey Ract enough dilute pollutant load associated diffuse point sources reduce it below maximum acceptable concentration. impaired more than agriculture. modelling framework could be useful for improving resources management.
