Challenges to Establish Effective Public-Private Partnerships to Address Malnutrition in All Its Forms.

摘要: Background Every country is affected by some form of malnutrition. Some governments and nutrition experts look to public-private partnerships (PPPs) address the burden However, nutrition-related PPPs face opposition, are difficult form, there limited evidence their effectiveness. Methods We conducted a literature review 30 semi-structured interviews with individuals involved in or researching identify factors that shape creation effectiveness food systems. Results Several make it establish systems: lack understanding causal pathways behind many problems; weak architecture for global governance nutrition; power imbalances between public private sector actors; disagreements community on advisability engaging sector. These complexities turn be effective once established due goal ambiguity misalignment, resource imbalances, accountability. Conclusion If established, conflicts interest must addressed, trust deficits actors surmounted, assessed as whether can achieve more health than working separately.
