摘要: A 15-year-long, 16 km horizontal resolution, present-day climate simulation has been conducted with the HIRHAM4 regional model. The model forced by European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts reanalyses at lateral boundary and over sea surface temperature ice concentrations from same source. domain is centered part of Arctic Russia focusing on Usa River basin near Ural Mountains. It demonstrated that this fine mesh, simulates annual course interannual variability in precipitation quite realistically. Furthermore captures timing permanent snow cover very accurately less than 1-week discrepancy both autumn spring. An interpretation modeled subsurface layer temperatures terms mean a "frost index" reveals present- day permafrost patterns to high degree accuracy.
