摘要: A study of the natural infection phlebotomine sand flies by Leishmania (Viannia) was conducted in a focus cutaneous leishmaniasis Picarras, on northeastern coast Brazilian state Santa Catarina. In total, 562 female Nyssomyia neivai were collected miniature light traps near houses, separated 61 pools and examined PCR Southern blot hybridization. Eight pools, four them from same trap/night, positive. This is first finding Le. braziliensis adequately identified Ny. Brazil. this preliminary observation we observed abundance predominance among captured species (98.5%), indicating that may be dominant vector subgenus Viannia area.
