摘要: Relationship between El Nino / Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and tropical cyclone (TC) frequency over the North Atlantic simulated in a high-resolution (T213) coupled ocean-atmosphere general circulation model is described. The succeeded to simulate TCs with maximum surface wind speed at 10m more than 17 m/s. In La Nina (El Nino) years, annual number of as well hurricanes increases (decreases). change seems be related that vertical shear accompanied by ENSO. This relationship ENSO TC agreement observational evidence. Although there no 43 m/s belonging category 2 on Saffir-Simpson scale this model, present study suggests finer-resolution CGCM could become powerful tool for understanding future variability intensity.
