摘要: INTRODUCTION: Sharp injuries threaten the health of healthcare employees. They cause transmission many diseases such as hepatitis B and C, AIDS, etc., which can increase associated costs with them. The aim this study was to investigate frequency sharp among students Hormozgan University Medical Sciences. METHOD: This cross-sectional conducted during 2012-2013 in Sciences, IR Iran. target population consisted medical, nursing, midwifery, operating room technician, medical laboratory academic year. Census sampling conducted, accordingly, 500 participated Data collected using modified questionnaire San Diego's injury report form. data were entered into SPSS V.19 analyzed descriptive statistical tests. FINDINGS: Finally 377 (75.4%) returned questionnaire. Among studied students, 184 (39.3%) had injuries. damaging Vein puncture most common mechanism DISCUSSION & CONCLUSION: prevalence is high risk disease its subsequent risks, thus, cost stress students. It seems that holding workshops increasing students' awareness skills face these risks be effective mitigating
