摘要: Continuous high-pressure torsion (CHPT) was developed as an expeditious process to effect severe plastic deformation. Using the CHPT, sheets of high purity aluminum, copper, and iron were successfully processed by introducing intense shear strain under pressure. The results hardness measurements after CHPT well consistent with those using disk ring specimens. Microstructural observations demonstrated that can be used a continuous for grain refinement.
