摘要: A new family of host molecules, based on the singly bridged triarylmethanol and triarylacetic acid frameworks, is described. These hosts form crystalline inclusions with a variety uncharged organic molecules ranging from protic dipolar to apolar compounds (130 different species). The formation stoicheiometry depend in systematic manner structural parameters host, such as nature functional group substituents, substituent positions. crystal structures three inclusion [1a·benzene (8:3), 1a·dioxane (4:3) 4c·EtOH (1:1)] have been studied by X-ray diffraction. They reveal building principles family. In crystals 1a·benzene benzene interstitially entrapped H-bonded teramer clusters 1a. Crystals are built 2:1 host–guest complexes including interstitial dioxane. case (1:1), principle 2:2 via twelve-membered ring.
