摘要: Review is made of dosimetric studies current optical fibre technology in radiotherapy for therapeutic applications, focusing particularly on vivo dosimetry prostate radiotherapy. We present the various sensor designs along with main advantages and disadvantages associated this technology. Optical fibres are ideally placed applications dosimetry; due to their small size they lightweight immune electromagnetic interferences. The dimensions allows it be easily guided within existing brachytherapy equipment; example, seed implantation needle direct tumour dose analysis, urinary catheter monitor urethral dose, or biopsy holder transrectal ultrasound probe rectal wall dose. article presents range dosimeter properties required a modern system utilised clinical environment.
