摘要: Several recent reports reaffirm the widespread impression that temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is frequently accompanied by psychopathology, violence, or a variety of unpleasant personality traits. However, in most these studies, appropriate control populations were not used and specificity TLE predisposing to characteristics was considered. When controls are employed, damage dysfunction basal forebrain rather than per se appears be significant factor psychopathology associated with epilepsy.
