摘要: Despite scorpion stings posing a significant public health issue in particular regions of the world, certain aspects venom chemistry remain poorly described. Although there has been extensive research into identity and activity peptides, non-peptide small molecules present have received comparatively little attention. Small can important functions within venoms; for example, some spider species main toxic components are acylpolyamines. Other auxiliary effects that facilitate envenomation, such as purines with hypotensive properties utilised by snakes. In this study, we investigated molecule constituents Hormurus waigiensis using LC/MS, reversed-phase HPLC, NMR spectroscopy. We identified adenosine, adenosine monophosphate (AMP), citric acid venom, low quantities amino acids glutamic aspartic also being present. Purine nucleosides play snake venoms when injected alongside other toxins, they may similar role H. venom. Further on these elucidate their roles prey capture predator defence, gaining greater understanding how act combination could allow development improved first aid.
