Psychological well-being of parents and family caregivers of children with hearing impairment in south India: Influence of behavioural problems in children and social support

摘要: Parents of children with hearing impairment are at increased risk mental health morbidities. We examined the predictive factors associated caregiver's strain and psychological morbidities in parents family caregivers impairment. In total, n = 201 without aged 3 to 16 years were recruited. Caregiver's measured using Zarit Burden scale World Health Organization's Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). Presence behavioural problems was Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire. After adjustment, low educational attainment domestic violence found be caregiving strain, whereas dissatisfaction social support from family, children, strongly predicted Addressing healthcare needs may help downsizing impact on well-being
