摘要: Background: To report the long-term findings of corneal cross-linking (CXL) with riboflavin drops on endothelial cell. Materials and Methods: In this prospective non-randomized study, we aim to assess safety CXL endothelium for treatment progressive keratoconus, by specular microscopy. A total 68 eyes 42 keratoconus patients were selected. We checked thickness (with ultrasonic pachymetry), cell density, pleomorphism, polymegathism microscopy) cells, before one year after procedure. Results: The mean ± SD preoperative postoperative thicknesses 470 40 μm 469.8 μm, respectively (p-value = 0.591). densities 2753 230 cells/mm [2] 2699 210 cells/mm, 0.004). found reduction in density CXL, but was less significant a than 400 (which treated hypo-osmolar 0.1% drops) compared more 450 μm. did not find any differences shapes (pleomorphism) 0.517), sizes (polymegathism) changed procedure 0.021). Conclusion: decrease low; also size these cells increased CXL. believe that other parameters besides may be determinant factors changing cells.
