Productivity, technical progress and scale efficiency in Indian manufacturing: Post-reform performance

摘要: This article studies the effects of economic reforms on Indian manufacturing industries. Data Envelopment Analysis was used to estimate technical and scale efficiency changes after 1991 reform initiatives. The estimates suggest, however, that industries declined during post-reform era. variations are different across industries, findings demonstrate importance technological progress for improving productivity in India.
