Incidencia en el conteo de células somáticas de un sellador de barrera (yodo-povidona 0,26%) y un sellador convencional (yoduro 0,44%)

摘要: Presence in somatic cells of a barrier sealant (iodine-povidone 0.26%) and convencional (iodide 0.44%). During the rainy months August September 2005, we comparatively evaluated made with iodine-povidone complex (0.26%) iodine-base conventional (0.44%), at Experiment Station Alfredo Volio Mata, Univ. Costa Rica, 1542 m elevation. Somatic countings (CCS) performed on herd 18 cows (Bos taurus) Jersy bred an average 184 d after lactation, divided two groups 9 animals each, treated different respectively. The results indicated significant differences CCS (P<0.07). Animals showed 118861,11 cel/ml, while their counterparts 277.305,55 cel/ml. Conventional iodine sealants is 2.33 times less effective for mastitis control, which may represent reduction 48.8% losses if are employed.
