摘要: Abstract A means of estimating the pulse-echo response beam width and position peak: in axial for clinical ultrasonic transducers is presented. Using a simple model based on continuous wave propagation, equations describing transmitted pressure amplitude as function distance from transducer have been adapted to describe broadband transducers. The efficacy these adaptations verified by comparison actual measurements performed both focused non-focused attenuating paths well “lossless” water paths. By using either center frequency or computed mean represent pulse, −20 dB divergence it propagates through tissue-like material can be approximated. Also, nonattenuating paths, peak profile, and, hence, focal plane position, estimated phys ical dimensions frequency.
