In-situ observations of the annealing of liquid lead inclusions entrained in an aluminium matrix

摘要: The changes in configuration of cylindrical inclusions molten lead entrained an aluminium matrix have been observedin-situ using hot-stage high voltage electron microscopy. Three distinct types events were observed and analysed. spheroidized over a wide temperature range due to capillary forces; the resultant spherical migrated gradient caused by beam heating; impinging coalesced forces.
