摘要: Lung organogenesis starts as a simple foregut bud encroaching on surrounding mesenchyme (1,2). Interactions between epithelium and are essential to the induction morphogenesis of lung. The transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) family regulatory peptides plays central role during lung development one important group highly conserved cytokines with demonstrated pleiotropic effects their own biosynthesis, mesenchymal mitogenesis epithelial differentiation (3).Emphasis in this chapter is placed current knowledge regarding TGF-β, its receptors, TGF-β receptor-mediated signal transduction development.
