摘要: Background: Psychological factors may influence oral health. One factor, sense of coherence (SOC) has been related to general and health, clinical status, health behaviours quality life (OHRQoL) in observational research with adults children. Thus, improving SOC be a way improve OHRQoL. Aims the study: To evaluate effect an intervention enhance on OHRQoL children. Methods: Cluster randomised trial twelve primary schools Khonkaen, Thailand 257 grade 5 students. Six were allocated randomly study comparison groups respectively. Data included socio-demographic data. Self-report questionnaires assessed using child perceptions questionnaire, CPQ11-14 13-item scale. collected at three time points; baseline, two weeks after 3 month follow up. Intervention: Seven 40-60 minute sessions over months, focusing participation empowerment. The first four classroom activities mixture didactic teaching, discussion, games. last involved working healthy school projects. was delivered by trained teachers who received intensive one day course. Results: similar for all variables baseline. group had significant improvements scores representing better follow-up. direct symptoms indirect via symptoms. Conclusions: As well as providing experimental evidence that is determined SOC, these data show school-based interventions useful OHRQoL.
