A 5-year retrospective investigation of all first admitted schizophrenics to Danish psychiatric institutions in the fiscal year from April 1st, 1970, to April 1st, 1971

摘要: A 5-year retrospective study of 492 patients with a diagnosis schizophrenia is reported. 81 % the were discharged less than 6 months after their first admission, mostly to homes. About 80% admitted more 1 time. After year, readmission rate was about 15 all admissions. Thirty-five per cent committed one or times mental hospital. The patient spent an average 418 days in 9–60 can be considered chronically ill, depending on definition chronicity. 2 years hospital, chance discharge 15%. Suicide 9 higher normal population.
